I am always impressed with Hayes Repair Manuals. I have been using them for at least thirty (30) years and I have found them to be well written, pertinent to the subject I am working on and very accurate. I have overhauled engines using their manual alone with complete success. Where I have had an original shop manual I have compared it to the Hayes and found very nearly the same information.

From my experience and the many vehicles I have had using the Hayes I highly recommend them even for the novice because if the beginner pays close attention to the details illustrated and written they too will be successful repairing or performing routine maintenance work to their satisfaction!

The Haynes Repair Manual for the Vue is well organized and has a similar format to all of Haynes other Repair Manuals.

The step by step descriptions of various repair proceedures do assume that you are somewhat handy with tools. The multiple pictures are very valuable in deciphering a repair proceedure. I recommend that anyone who does any type of repair work no matter how minor, own the relavent manual.

I use the manual together with comments from “ASK” on line to do a particular repair. As with the undertaking of any repair, the book pays for itself and whatever tools you need the first time you use it.

Product contained information that I sought. Product was as advertised and I have no complaints.
I did need to purchase additional tools to complete the repair work on vehicle.

Haynes manuals aren’t the same as a factory manual, but for most people who want to do average maintenance and repair they are adequate. I have used Haynes manuals for at least the past 15 years and they have saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars. The Saturn Vue was introduced in 2002 and they just came out with the haynes manual and I’m glad. The best price that I could find anywhere was Amazon.

for the DIY type person, who plans on running this car till the wheels fall of, this book will make your life easier.
Lots of picture and the notations on how to access and fix problems is right on the mark.
I would recommend a copy of this book to anyone who loves this car.
By the way, I have almost 300,000 mile on my car, and it still runs great. 30MPG.

This is a rather typical Haynes manual… which I have used for many decades on everything from my old Vanogon and Firebird to the Saturn SL and SC models. They do a good job of breaking down the basic functions that you need for day to day maintenance and for some in depth repair. Certainly more convenient than trying to find and keep the factory manual. I would say it is a must – have item for the Vue owner.

This manual is pretty much what you’d expect: it’s got a lot of basic information but lacks the small details that would make it extra helpful. I always use them in conjunction with enthusiast forums on the web when i get stuck.

I own both this and the chilton manual. I haven’t read them cover-to-cover, but the parts I’ve checked have been almost word-for-word identical. This one is cheaper. Buy it and skip the Chilton.
