I bought this because I needed it to work on my 08 Ford escape but it doesn’t have that much information on the newer models and if it does, it doesn’t have pictures. It helped me to get the job done don’t get me wrong but I just wish it would have more information and images on 08 and up models. Oh and hybrids are not covered.
A little too generic for me compared to other manuals for other vehicles that I’ve had, but gives decent basic information.
Covers pretty much everything I needed for 2001 Escape XLT and has detailed pics. The maint. sched was also very helpful.
I only gave it 4 stars because it’s not perfect. It will handle 90% of what most people will need. If you need more detail them buy the shop manuals. If you’re a weekend worrior, buy this.
Haynes repair manuals today are OK, but not as detailed as to use to be.
It’s still better to have some kind of manual for reference and specs.
This book provides sufficient info to handle most chores. Not in depth but good enough for the price. $10 more in parts stores.
I have been using Haynes manuals for at least 30 years. It has always been a good buy.
All the information, for beginners, or experts.
basically they repeat what the dealer says. Engine removal on forums with people that have “actually done” the work don’t agree with Haynes writer. Critical areas are just left out. And yes Chilton and Haynes are the same writer. Wasted $20
