I needed a simple technical source for minor maintenance projects. The manual works quite well for that. I do wish that the paper was a little more sturdy.
I was able to use this book for all repairs needed on the car. I would recommend this manual for anyone with mechanical knowledge.
I finally found a book my 16-year old son likes to read! It is easy to follow and covers everything. thanks!
brand new, still sealed in plastic condition.
I have owned haynes manuals in the past and, although they do not provide every detail, they are cost effective and definitely 1) a worthwhile addition to augment the very expensive dealer/repair manual, and 2) required by anyone who has an older car should know if an issue is little or potentially big.
Same as haynes has been for years. Very useful for DIY repairs, wish they would update to some higher resolution pictures on better paper but it works and I don’t feel bad about getting it dirty.
At one time Haynes Repair Manuals were the standard by which others were judged; I’m not sure that could be said of these manuals today. Their newer manuals are printed on a low quality paper; best described as recycled paper towels; which affects the quality of the photographs. And, this paper ages quickly (yellows) which further reduces the quality of the photographs. This particular Miata manual is an update of the previous Miata manual and this aging is quite apparent between the two when placed side by side. Narrative wise, they are still fairly complete, but the lousy paper quality of the book is disconcerting.
This book is very detailed and shows lots of valuable information that every owner should have on hand just incase.
Have been, looking for a manual locally for the past year. This is the first on I found that actually covers a 2000 Miata. I know I can find most any repair I need online but it is nice to have the book to reference. I have owned a Haynes Manual for every vehicle I have owned since 1980.
Very thorough, including the many variations across models. Worth every penny if you are doing anything beyond basic maintenance on your vehicle.
I was disappointed in the accuracy and amount of information especially for 2006 and newer vehicles. It was as if Haynes spent all their time creating a manual for the older cars and just added info on the newer cars as an afterthought. I could not find basic information such as differential capacity and the oil change interval is different from the recommendation in the owner’s manual. This experience taught me to not buy a technical manual without first seeing a copy.
