I have a copy of this book, and decided to try to locate the horn relay. This book has “wiring” diagrams that are pitiful (showing one or two components, and never a complete wiring harness, and none of the diagrams “link” together). The index is atrocious (look up “horn relay” – there isn’t even an entry for “horn”). Skipping to the fuse block chunk in the electrical section, the resolution is so bad you can’t read parts of it. Looking at their “convenience” drawing…. it depicts something that is from a newer car (not even in these). I’ve tried to use this multiple times for even mechanical with almost no success – it’s awful. I have a 20 year old, beaten Haynes manual where nearly all pages are loose, and that is the better manual (even in it’s falling-apart state). That should tell you what kind of research went into this manual.
Save yourself the trouble and buy a haynes manual or a factory service manual (even the assembly instruction manual consisting of the engineering diagrams is much better).
This manual has a lot if info in it and many pictures that are helpful when looking for specific parts. I would recommend this for a useful tool to assist in repairs and restoration.
Good general description of different systems with very good circuit diagrams. Other manuals have better photos and methods but this book is good general reference.
One of the three manuals the average vette owner needs. (Shop Manual, Chilton, Haynes.) I fixed/realigned my passenger side window using this manual which saved me $$$. The rest from now on is gravy. Some things should go to an expert but these books will help a backyard mechanic like me do the things I can. Intel, you need intel and it’s here.
Too broad to be of great value for a specific model year.
obviously you have to be a little expert to use this manual specially for the engine related parts, but it is a great help for a complete restauration of your vette.
This book enabled me to find and repair a problem I was having. I could not be happier. I would recommended it as a “must have” for any corvette owner.
