I bought this book under the impression it was going to be like the others i have purchased. The other books included multiple styles offered within a specific model. That is not the case with this, if your looking for a book including AWD models you must find a different book. I own several of these books and they have covered just about everything. I’m very disappointed in this version. The entire AWD drive-train is left out. It still includes the chases stuff like electrical but anything associated with AWD is left out.
I’m used to Clymers and Haynes manuals for motorcycles, or full factory service manuals. This wasn’t the quality of manual I’m used to seeing. I know my standards are high, but I was expecting a bit more.
The transaction with the seller went very well. I’d buy again from them in a heartbeat.
I can’t comment on the quality of the instructions in this manual because I never opened it. I purchased it to use with my Vibe GT, but (fortunately) read the back cover before removing the shrink wrap. I was highly disappointed to read this sentence near the bottom of the back cover:
“Does not include information specific to all-wheel drive models, Matrix XRS models or Vibe GT models.” Oh well.

I bought this so I could replace my O2 sensor. It’s full of pictures and step by step instructions. Hard to believe they can put together such a detailed book for such a cheap price. The pages are REALLY thin (like a phone book) so you have to be careful with it, but a great buy regardless.

There are no negative numbers. Chilton use to be the book of books for vehicle repair. This repair manual is for teh most part worthless. I can find more detailed and more helpful information on the internet, and videos on youtube. Basically I threw away $20 USD.
I bought this Chilton manual specifically because I wanted a complete repair manual that included the all-wheel drive Matrix. Alas, there is no information contained here on the all-wheel drive model, and there is no way to discover this without having a copy of the manual. I previously bought the Haynes manual for the same vehicle, and the same was true there: no AWD coverage, and no way to find that out in advance. In fact the Chilton manual is put out by the Haynes Publishing Group and includes many pictures identical to the Haynes manual for the Vibe/Matrix.
A great help when working on your car. Like having a certified mechanic helping you.
