This must be the most useless book I have every seen on auto maintenance and repair. If you’re looking for any info on your Camry, look elsewhere. Due to the nature of the book (13 years of camry), you will not find *ANY* specifics on your particular model. No part numbers listed anywhere in the manual. Diagrams are ambiguous at best. Instructions read like they were pulled from a high school auto shop manual.
I bought this book to overhaul my old camery very good with picttures and tables and wiring diagrams that will not let you down.If you have an old camery and good with wrenches this book is for ryou. all you every needed to know but were afraid to ask.
Great book and I am not a mechanic and because things have gotton so high here in California I am starting to do my vehicle maintenance myself. I refuse to pay a mechanic THREE HOUNDRED EIGHT DOLLARS for a ninety five dollar part. This book is great it has step by step instructions and illustrations on each part that needs to be removed. I have replaced all my struts, timing belt, belts, plugs, window regulator, water pump and thermastat. I have a 2000 Toyota Camry with about two hundered thirty six thousand miles on it. I will definetly keep this book around for future projects..
I really didn’t want to spend $30.00 Plus on a new Manual, When I could get A used one for around $3.00 plus Shipping. It is going to get dirty anyway because I have to put in a Transmission, Oil pump, Seals and Timing Components after the Engine And Transmission are removed. The detail about the quality of the books are absolutely Correct.
One star is way too much for this book. I got the newest version three days ago and it was like getting a repair manual for a toy. I’ve got a Camry 91 with a v6 engine and this book had virtually nothing I could use. Not even a decent set of diagrams and instructions to replace the spark plugs…!!!! Forget about anything else like a CV boot replacement or a timing belt replacement. I hope the publisher sees my review.
I was searching for a repair manual for a 1998 Toyota Camry but the search produced manuals for other years as well. I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention and ended up with a 1983-96 manual that I really can’t use and it will cost me the price of the refund to send it back so I am eating it and learning from the experience. Word to the wise… BE CAREFUL TO REVIEW YOUR ORDER REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SEARCH FOR BECAUSE RESULTS ARE PRODUCED THAT DO NOT MEET YOUR SEARCH CRITERIA. This is not a slam on the seller but a slam on Amazon.
I recieved a 1988 Toyota Corolla from my uncle and the book was o.k. with pin-pointing aspects that was needed to know. In the future I plan on purchasing a brand new Toyota
