This book is worth twice its weight! A lot of the repair procedures simply go over my head, but for the most part, it’s very useful. I’ve already replaced my fuel filter and spark plugs. Think i’ll go for the transmission and shocks next. Give it a try!

The Chilton’s Care Repair was just what I was looking for. I tried to find a manual just on a 2008 Ford Ranger but it seened like I did not come across one in my search at this price of this one. I looked over the manual and it does cover several years (2000-2008). The coverage in this book seemed to be Ok. I really haven’t had to use it yet but I believe it will work just fine. It does have a lot of useful information in it. Basically it cover the truck from bumper to bumper. I would recomment this repair manual to anyone that it looking for good information on there auto or truck.
Of the three companies making repair manuals, I find Chilton’s to consistently have better, more complete info than the competition. They do cost a bit more and regretabbly never have the information an OEM repair manual does. If you can obtain a real, geinuine OEM repair manual, that is always your best bet. The manufacturer of your vehicle designed and built it – they know more about it than some aftermarket company that took ONE of the cars apart and wrote a book to sell.
If you can’t get a factory OEM service manual, buy Chilton.

Chilton manuals are usually a great source for info on repairing your auto. I needed info on
my four wheel drive truck, but Chilton barely touched anything on four wheel drive operations.
A good place to find most everything else, just not for 4X4. Had I known, I would have searched
for other resources.
