Wanted to know where to find the oil sending sensor, a simple fix, and this book makes no mention of it, anywhere.
dose the job good for the book type helps you when you need it would buy all types of book for cars
This applies to every vehicle, not just the Liberty.
If you want a good manual spend the extra money and go right to the source, the factory authorized service manual.
Even though they are quite a bit more expensive just one simple repair you perform yourself will pay for the book. Half the pages in Chiltons and Haynes tell you to take the car to the dealer, that the repair is too complicated for the do it yourselfer whereas the factory service manuals give step by step instructions for every part of the vehicle and are written in simple terms.
I recieved my book late, but the company refunded my shipping cost, and for that I will order things from them in the future because they stand behind there products and service.
Thin both in dimension and information.
One example is the parking brake – there’s a sentence about replacing the shoes, but no information about testing or adjusting them, or if they’re self-adjusting.
A Haynes book may have been a better choice, but it has been my experience that it’s often good to have both Chilton and Haynes books as one may miss something that the other has good coverage of, and vice-versa.
item was new and shipped promptly and a great price, I’ll be looking here for any future manuals I need
Chiltons Manuals are known for their in depth look at car repair. I love this book. I would also compliment it with the Haynes manual.
This book is nice for trying to do maintenance on my Jeep but is not very clear on some aspects and some of the pictures are hard to inturperet.
I picked Chiltons up with the Haynes Manual. Unless you get a shop manual, no one manual covers everything. They sometimes offer slightly different ways of doing things. Chilton seems fine.
These books are great to have especially when you just need to do little maintence work to your vehicle. It’s a whole lot better then having to take it to a repair shop and getting charged for it. It will give all the information you’ll need to know about your vehicle. A big plus for me though with this book was the price for it. If you bought this off the shelf it would cost you about $25 or so. So i definetly got lucky on this one.
