The Haynes manuals are probably the most well-known maintenance manuals out there. It’ll tell you how to get to every nook, cranny, and part in your car. I’ve used them for years for every car I’ve owned, and they’ve never disappointed.

Used this handbook for my 2005 Jeep Liberty. Was able to replace a broken resistor block (controls the speed to the heating/AC fan) by following the directions. Have used this same book series for other cars too and always found the information I was looking for.

This manual is great for those looking to do some maintenance at home. The pictures and step-by-step instructions are clear and useful. It covers more tasks than I am willing to do as a beginner.

Would have preferred the Chilton but couldn’t find one so Haynes had to do in a pinch. Only problem was shipping this manual to me from the seller…the car repair I would have liked this manual’s guidance on was completed well over a week before this manual arrived!

Seriously….it shipped from Jersey, I live in PA, roughly a 2 to 3 hour tops drive, and it took over two weeks to arrive???? The close proximity is why I chose to buy the manual from this seller in the first place, I needed the manual in a hurry for a repair…now it’s just sitting in my shelf for “future reference”. 🙂

This book is great as for as a guideline for general maintenance, as well as for details on the Jeep Liberty. My only issue with it, is that it does not go into detail on the air conditioning system as far as what I should be looking for on my manifold gauges when recharging/refilling; which was my entire reason for purchasing the book. However, if your looking to do anything else with the car, this book is fantastic. There are also EPA regulations regarding the servicing of the A/C system, which make it reasonable why this info was excluded. However, since I have all the proper equipment, gas recovery, vacuum pump, manifold, etc, I think it should of included this info as it is advertised as a comprehensive repair manual. I would still recommend to anyone looking to do anything to the vehicle other than the A/C system.

I have a 2006 Liberty and needed a book for reference. I can do most normal repairs without it, but it does help when I need torque specs for certain parts. Like all Haynes books, they did a full tare down of a Liberty. There a tons of pictures to help you identify parts and help you along. Auto repair books by other publishers are very generic and have few pictures in them. Haynes is all you need!

The guide is overall pretty good but often I find myself scratching my head at the photographs in this manual. They are very vague and give no frame of reference in many cases.

I have purchased many vehicle manuals and found that it was printed on a poor quality of paper. I don’t mind recycled, dingy, not even white paper around my Starbucks coffee but I do not like it for a manual I expect to keep a long time.
