This is a tech manual a friend recommended when I bought my motorcycle. As promised it covers everything in somewhat easy to understand terms.Being that this is my first bike and that I am not a mechanic by trade I have not done anything major thus far
My owner’s manual gave very little information and poor illustrations so I got Clymer’s. It told me all I needed to know about the basic maintenance with some decent illustrations. Although it doesn’t benefit me (not being mechanically inclined)it looks to be a thorough repair book where you can take the engine apart, the forks, wheels off, brakes done, transmission disassembled etc….
If you’re looking to get serious about re-building your bike – this is the manual for you.
This book gets into real detail of these bikes. You can take it apart and put it back together. You’ll need the right tools and the place to work. It’s not only the book.
It could be better with more color pictures and easier to follo diagrams. Over all a good book if you don’t have the original factory book. Delivery was a little slow.
This is a necessary reference book with an appropriate amount of photos. I have never come across a perfect manual and this no different. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in doing their own work.
Well organized, fairly easy to find the info I needed to work on my bike. Anyone with a Yamaha V star 650 should have this.

Great book for beginners. Helps with the simplistic jobs to the much more complicated. Easy to understand. Recommend to all who have this bike.
